Last night at the 2019 Sammy Awards, the Wesley Foundation took home the Outstanding Religious Organization Award for the sixth time. We have been blessed with some of the best students that SHSU has to offer. Our college students have rocked it this year. From intermural sports to Wednesday night worship, these Kats have been putting in the hours to show how proud they are to be a Bearkat.
Some of our most honorable things of the past year came from our service such as FUMC Great Day of service where we painting the house and built a ramp for an elderly woman in our community or College UM Army where a few of our students went a helped build and fix up houses with other college students. Those are just two great examples of the many service activities that the Wesley Foundation was a part of this past year.
For the first time ever, a religious organization took the award for Outstanding Overall Organization, and that organization was no other than your Wesley Bearkats! We are so blessed and proud to be acknowledged for the work we do. We cannot wait to continue to show everyone that The Wesley Foundation is here and spreading God’s word. Thank you to all that support us financially, emotionally, or any other way. This award is as much for you as it is for us.
