Service in a time of Silence

With the global pandemic going on, college was a hard idea to imagine coming back in person. It has been a challenge for all the students as they learn to adjust to a new normal of online learning. Even with all these external conflicts, our students still find it exteremly important to give back to the community in as many ways possible.

Since coming back to campus in October to now, the SHSU Wesley Foundation has helped out at the the community resale shop, unloaded pumpkins with FUMC Huntsville, parking lot stripping at New Waverly Elementary, painted eves/siding at Galilee Church of God, delivered 30,000 paper sheets to Gibbs Preschool, donated water and snacks to shelter hold Hurricane Laura evacuees, and partnering with FUMC Huntsville to paint, clean up debris and do some lawn work.

Our students are thankful to be able to help and work along side such wonderful people. 2020 is not going to defeat the Sam Houston Wesley Foundation. We will finish out the year strong as a united group helping each other and those in need.
